James C. Robinson, Patrol Sergeant

I graduated from Northwood High School in 1995. Shortly after graduation I enlisted in the US Air Force where I served as a Security Policeman at Malmstrom AFB in Montana and Howard AFB in Panama and temporary deployments to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Columbia, and Costa Rica. After the Air Force I enrolled at the Southwest Law Enforcement Academy in the 12th pre-employment class. After graduating I went to work in the town of Damascus. I worked in Damascus until I was hired by Saltville where I have been since 2001. I am currently assigned to the patrol section of the police department where I continue to be trained in such things as Field Training officer, by the Southwest Law Enforcement Academy and Accident re-constructionist by Virginia Commonwealth University. I am the vehicle accident investigator for all serious vehicle accidents and I am also the crime prevention officer and responsible for traffic surveys using speed measuring equipment and analyzing the data to provide an insight into traffic problems and provide the necessary corrective action before a problem occurs. I have enjoyed serving the citizens and visitors in our community.
