I was born and raised in Saltville. I graduated from Northwood High School in 1992. I attended Virginia Highlands Community College from 1992 to 1994 majoring in Criminal Justice. I then went to Southwest Law Enforcement Academy for the First Pre-Employment Basic Training School October to December 1994. I worked for Emory & Henry Campus Police and Honaker Police Department in early 1995. I began working for the Saltville Police Department July 3, 1995. I was Investigator from 1997 to 2005. I was Sergeant from 2003 to 2005. I was promoted to Assistant Chief June 2005. I have been responsible for Saltville’s geese problem since June 2005. I like to hunt and fish on my time off.
